How I use it:

Equipped with Apple M4 Pro chip (12 cores: 8 performance, 4 efficiency), 48 GB unified memory, and 460 GB SSD. Handles multiple Docker containers, MCP servers, and heavy IDE workloads without slowdown. This is my first Mac after years on Windows and Linux — after the initial learning curve, it became a seamless daily driver that just works. Runs 24b parameter local models and parallel smaller models, although it produces both noise and heat, so I save local AI model dev projects for the workstation....

What I've learned:

Moving from Windows/Linux to macOS requires relearning shortcuts and all sorts of things almost from scratch, but it’s absolutely worth it — and I actually find the development environment on Mac to be the best.
